This fantastic Fijian tour is the perfect week-long escape to these blissful islands.

Our tour focuses on one of the main islands, Viti Levu, home to Nadi airport; this makes for a more affordable trip with less time wasted on transport to the outer isles.

With a day trip to the white sands of private Savala Island, complete with unlimited beverages and buffet lunch, kayak and snorkelling equipment and an on-island spa, we mix luxury treats with powerful #EmpowermentTourism.

This tour is split between the popular tourist destination of Natadola, home to one of the worlds best beaches, and the First Landings Resort, an important initial point in the history of the islands. With the chance to give back to communities affected by cyclones, discover the mud pools of the island and enjoy fresh cuisine with sand underfoot, this tour packs plenty into your Fiji holiday.

EMPOWERMENT TOURISM

TOUR PROJECTS

On this tour we collectively place 10% of the tour funds directly towards our ongoing and sustainable empowerment projects, you can read more about the #EmpowermentTourism concept here.

Our projects will vary depending on the time of year and group size, but our critical current focus in Fiji is to support those who have been affected by the Winston Cyclones, especially further inland where the tourist dollar doesn’t reach. Through our cultural exchange programme, we can provide job opportunities and thus deliver funds back into the community.

ITINERARY

Day One: Nadi

Meet and greet at the airport

Our tour begins the second you step out of the airport with one of our friendly team ready to meet and transfer you to our first resort.

After relaxing into your bure just moments from the beach our welcome ceremony and briefing commence at 5 pm. After an introduction to your local experience leader, we are spoilt with a traditional ‘Sevu Sevu’ Kava welcoming before the short walk to the Marina to enjoy a fusion menu against a stunning Fijian sunset.

Day Two: Nadi

After a hotel breakfast, we jump on board our cool coach and transfer to the local community #EmpowermentTourism project. Around an hour’s drive inland, this project is focused on reaching those who have been affected by the Winston Cyclones but sadly due to their location don’t see many tourists or their spending.

Here we will enjoy an inspiring day seeing how your funds are having a positive impact by creating jobs and a unique cultural immersion experience. Add in an authentic Fijian cooking experience and lunch with an inspiring speech from the community elders on top of the sanitation projects we carry out for a rounded and impactful day.

In the evening we enjoy a delicious a-la-carte meal at the hotel restaurant with traditional dances and performances from across the Pacific Islands including the famous fire dancing which is spectacular, if not a little nerve-racking for those in the front row.

Day Three: Nadi / Private Island

After a hotel breakfast, we transfer for the exclusive day cruise to the private Savala Island.

This tiny speck of blissful white sand in the Pacific Ocean is the perfect private playground with kayaking, snorkelling and stand-up paddleboarding all available to enjoy. An on-island spa allows those looking to indulge with a massage the chance to do so as an optional extra. With an open bar and tropical lunch buffet available it’s hard not feel like you’re truly on Fiji time.

With the evening at leisure, it’s the perfect opportunity to kick back and relax with a fancy dinner or cocktail in hand.

Day Four: Nadi

After a hotel breakfast, we depart to the Sleeping Giant Gardens, a peaceful and colourful tropical array of orchids, palms and plants set against the backdrop of the islands ‘giant’, the mountain range.

We continue the relaxing theme with an indulging visit to the local mud pools and hot springs. Lathering up in this warm, mineral-rich mud before sliding into the naturally heated spa pools might look a little funny at first, but the effects on your skin and mind are worth the funny photos.

Spend the rest of your day relaxing around the pool, or take a taxi into the main city area to explore the shops and bars.

Day Five: Natadola

Afternoon at leisure

After enjoying your hotel breakfast, we head to our next hotel in Natadola. Driving along the incredibly scenic Coral Coast drive and stopping for a Fijian lunch on route.

When you arrive at Natadola you are in for a treat. Spend an afternoon of leisure on the relaxing beach, which is the most beautiful white-sand beach in Fiji and one of the top 10-beaches in the world.

Today is all about relaxing, so enjoy a day at leisure to take in what mother nature has to offer.

From snorkelling and horseback riding to surfing, there are plenty of opportunities to grab yourself some fresh coconuts and kick back or enjoy an array of beach activities. For those wanting to be pampered, Fijian massages to hair braiding are also available.

Our final dinner is a Fijian feast and accompanied by some live music, a bitter-sweet night to complete a tour through this beautiful island.

Day Seven: Departure

After enjoying your hotel breakfast, our tour concludes at check out. It’s time for plenty of emotional goodbyes, exchanging contact details and chatter about future travel plans.

EXCLUSIONS

Unlike many other tour operators, we don’t spend the tour trying to sell you upgrades or leaving you hanging around on the street because you can’t afford an unexpected attraction. All of the entrance fees are covered on tour, so you don’t need to dig into your pocket unless you wish to take on additional activities such as scuba diving.

Likewise, we include plenty of delicious meals on tour. With a mix of fusion and traditional cuisine we don’t just palm you off to the typical tour bus restaurants, we have personally eaten in and hand-picked each delicious dish we offer you. On this tour some meals are not included, giving you time to break off solo or head on an adventure with your group. Alcoholic and soft drinks are excluded at meal times. Water and on most occasions, hot beverages are included.

How much cash should I bring? With some meals, your drinks, souvenirs, tips and any extra shopping or personal items you decide on buying to account for, we suggest bringing around $350 AUD cash in hand to be safe and in case of any emergencies. Anything you don’t spend makes an excellent addition to your next travel fund.

Flights are not included, but we are more than happy to help you find the best deal possible.
